Your Neighbourhood

We want you to be proud of where you live.  We are committed to working with you to improve the appearance of your community.  We work in partnership with our contractors to ensure grounds maintenance of external communal areas is regularly undertaken.

As part of Victory Housing Trust’s continuing commitment to improving our service to residents, neighbourhood walkabouts are undertaken with residents and result in agreed actions to resolve any issues.

A Neighbourhood Walkabout is an inspection of the shared communal parts of your neighbourhood, designed to pick up on any issues or areas for improvement.  Examples of this could include:

• Identifying and removing an abandoned car
• Dealing with dumped bulk items or rubbish
• Ensuring pathways or parking areas are kept free from litter, rubbish, weeds, moss and dog dirt
• Checking all lights in shared communal areas are well maintained and are in good working order
• Ensuring Victory owned play areas are kept in a safe condition
• Ensure that all walls, fences, gates etc are free from graffiti
• Grounds maintenance issues

Victory Housing Trust recognises that, as a resident you are a part of your neighbourhood and therefore likely to be able to identify potential problems and solutions. 

Neighbourhood Walkabouts are currently under review and a special topic group will be established to review them.  If any tenant is interested in being involved in the review please contact Sue Willis by calling 0845 300 6648.
