Resident Involvement

Welcome to the Resident Involvement section of our web-site.  Over the coming months we will continue to develop this page through consultation with our customers and staff.

Getting Involved

Resident involvement is about giving choices and encouraging residents to have a say in how their homes and neighbourhoods are managed by us.

There are lots of opportunities to get involved with as much or as little as you wish. It costs nothing financially to get involved – all reasonable care and travel costs are paid for and agreed 'out of pocket' costs are met.

If you are interested in getting involved please click here or email info@victoryhousing.co.uk

Resident involvement activity is governed by our Resident Participation Agreement, which is all about how we at Victory Housing Trust and our residents work together. It was developed by a group of involved residents and staff in March 2008, and is now being reviewed, please click here to find out more about the review and how you can take part in the review.

The Agreement explains why it is important for residents to get involved with us and how you can get involved. It also describes how we try to make sure that everyone has an equal opportunity to get involved, and the role of the Resident Participation Agreement in making that a reality . It begins with our vision and values, because this is an important set of guidelines that underpins all of the work we do.

Victory Housing Community Fund

Victory Housing Trust has launched a fund to help local communities in the area. The fund has been kick-started with a £50,000 donation and it is hoped to continue contributing to this over subsequent years.

The Trust's Partnership Panel of active tenants has agreed the money will be split with 50% being made available to projects in the current year and 50% invested in an endowed fund from which income will be used to give grants on an ongoing basis. A Great Day Out

Over 2000 residents enjoyed our massive garden party at Kelling Heath Country Park on a sunny Saturday in September.

Circus performers, musicians, fairground attractions, stilt walkers, magicians and children's entertainers provided fun for all the family while a hog roast and barbeque provided lunch.

Tenants who are already involved in the work of Victory were also on hand to explain the variety of ways in which you can become involved and we are delighted that no less than 188 people said they would like to participate in some way in the future.

The event was sponsored by Norfolk County Services, Hill Partnership, Aqua Mechanical Services, Ashford Commercials T Dukes LTD and Eversheds, all of whom work with Victory. Norfolk Constabulary, Norfolk Fire Service and North Norfolk Distinct Council were also represented on the day.

Telling Us What You Want

One of the important reasons for organising the garden party was to find out your views on a number of issues. Staff from Victory spent the day talking to tenants about what is important to them concerning their home and the service provided by Victory.

The results of this survey will help us prioritise out work in the future and ensure we concentrate on the aspects of our services which are most important to you.

John Archibald Victory's chief executive explained "The high turnout enabled us to get a really good cross section of views, and these will help us to make sure that our plans for the future really meet the needs of the communities we serve."
